Our Classrooms & Age Groups
Gentle Grapes and Peaceful Peaches (Ages 6 weeks to 12 months)
Our infant area provides the highest quality care in an environment that is designed with the parent and child in mind. While in our care, the children are stimulated through music, story time, sensory play, tummy time and interaction between teacher and child. Children in this class begin to hear Christian music, bible memory verses and fun songs that they will continue to hear as they progress through the classrooms at our center.
Our infant room is also cloth diaper friendly. We also encourage parents to come visit their children any time throughout the day. Rocking chairs are available for any parent that wants to come visit, as well as for nursing mothers. Our staff is trained on proper handling and storage of breastmilk. Lastly, you are notified in real time when you child is eating, napping, had diaper changes, and about their mood, or other activities.

Loving Lemons (ages 12 months to 18 months)
Our transitional infants are busy and ready to explore! They are constantly on the move with their new walking skills, exploring and learning through play at every moment. An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful, spiritually guided play helps your toddler to develop cognitive, emotional, social and physical skills for future learning and development. Our young ones are introduced to life skills by learning to self-feed and use sippy cups. They continue using baby sign language and words to communicate, as well as transitioning to sleeping independently on cots. We promote healthy brain development through positive relationships and responsive environments. This helps with child bonding and our language rich environment develops communication. We also work on their spiritual growth through our character development program based off the Fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5: 22-23

Kind Kiwi’s (Young Toddlers, 18 months- 24 months old)
Our kind kiwi’s are building on the skills they learned in the Loving Lemons room! Children start drinking out of cups, get better at using utensils and are learning how to express themselves! Language development and social skills are developing at a rapid pace in this room. We teach children character development based on the Fruits of the Spirit and children are frequently read Bible stories and other stories to assist with language development.
The Abeka program is officially started in this room. Children start to learn colors, letters, numbers, shapes and much more! You will be surprised by how your child’s language development and knowledge will progress!
Real time notifications are sent via our Brightwheel app, giving you information on your child’s day.

Patient Pears (Older Toddlers, 24 months-30 months)
At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, stories, art, bible, language development and outdoor play are the highlights of the day. At this age, they participate in Spanish language learning and also use books as a part of the Abeka curriculum.
Another exciting thing that happens in this group is toilet training! We work together with parents to make potty training a positive experience. Our caregivers are dedicated to helping each child develop these skills through a trusting and loving relationship. Lastly, a daily report is given through our Brightwheel app to update each family on meal times, nap times, toilet training and additional activities performed throughout the day.

Cheerful Cherries 30-36 months
Our Cheerful Cherries are our younger 3's who are getting prepped for our K3 program. Most children are still potty training in this room. We support their transition from pull ups to undies by having frequent trips to the bathroom throughout the day and by providing lots of cheering when they use the potty!
Their educational journey is supported by the Abeka curriculum which includes phonics, numbers, art, bible stories, memory verses and music. Children also receive Spanish lessons. We provide lots of outdoor time, with children going out 2x per day on our playground.
Of course, you are made aware of everything your child is doing throughout the day through our Brightwheel app. You will be notified of when they have eaten, went to the potty, what they are learning, and will receive photos and videos of your child throughout the day. Lesson plans are sent weekly, so you are aware of what your children are learning.

PreK 3 (3 years old by Sept 1)
Children who are 3 years old by September 1 will participate in our preschool program. These children are exposed to a more rigorous curriculum that prepares them for kindergarten. In this program, children are learning letters, letter sounds, counting to 20, handwriting, art, Spanish phrases, bible stories, weekly memory verses and more! A weekly report is sent so you can reinforce what is being taught in class. Of course, we are also trying to grow good citizens, so children are taught self-help skills, and how to be kind and respectful to others. The work the children have done in class is sent home every week, so parents can see what their child has learned.

PreK 4 (4 years old by Sept 1)
Children who are 4 by September 1 will participate in our PreK 4 program! At Canyon Creek Daycare we are committed to having our 4-year old’s ready for kindergarten: academically, socially and spiritually. Our core curriculum and bible teaching are from the Abeka program and our character-building program is based on the Fruits of the Spirit. In the Faithful Fruit class, we learn bible stories, phonics (most children are reading by the time they leave CCD), numbers and math, songs, Spanish, social skills, and most importantly, we learn that God loves us!
Keeping track of what your child is doing, and learning is easy at Canyon Creek Daycare. The Brightwheel app will send real time notifications with what your child is learning, when they have eaten and even provide you with pictures and videos of your child!
Keeping up with our "graduates" after they leave is important to us. 100% of survey respondents said their children were ready academically and socially for kindergarten, and all stated they would recommend CCD to a friend. We would love to have you and your 4 year old be a part of our close knit community!
